Thank you for visiting
our site. Bridges of Hope to Haiti is a missionary outreach of Calvary Chapel Staten Island to the people of Haiti.
On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit the
Caribbean nation of Haiti killing more than 300,000 people and devastating a country that was already suffering from high
levels of poverty and other debilitating national conditions.
Hebrews 13:16 reminds us “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have,
for such sacrifices are pleasing to God”
In
October 2010, Calvary Chapel sent two missionaries to Haiti to survey three identified rural communities outside of Port au
Prince and report on the types of assistance that they needed after the destructive earthquake.
The needs are many and range from basic care to education, from clean water to construction
and nutrition.
Calvary Chapel is going back
to Haiti with a missionary team. In collaboration with a local Haiti church we will endeavor to provide assistance through
a medical clinic, construction and children’s ministry.
Our goal is to make a difference both physically and spiritually.
Our outreach to Haiti will be ongoing and we will keep you posted regarding our plans
and accomplishments.
We cannot
do this work without assistance. Please make a difference today by praying for our ministry and by making a donation to help
us reach the Haitian people.
